There is a light in all men. But when the Howling of the wild moon calls you,the light in the mind gives way to the darkness. In the corners it stirs, slowly taking over.

For when you stare into the Abyss, sometimes it stares back into you.

The Duchy of the Howling Shadow was created on the ancient lands of PhoenixFlame by Duke Adrian Nemocan. He did not know at the time, but he had been drawn to the lands that once belonged to Lyon PhoenixFlame, because he held within him the Spirt of Lyon.

Gathering around him the rejected; the theives, the nomads, the bounty hunters, he has brought a rugged sort of order to the North Eastern borders of DragonFen, despite his somewhat demonic heritage.

The Duchy itself is nomadic in nature, with gatherings taking place at any location the Duchy can set down their tell-tale tents. Only Castle FireBird, the home of the Duke, stays in one place; a constant reminder of times gone by.
